When I booked a trip to La in November, I had no idea that I would descend into the city during the Los Angeles Fashion Week. And when I was invited to stay in the newly renovated W Hollywood, I certainly don’t expect that my home would be the epicenter for all things for the week. But when I entered the lobby filled with models, stylish participants and clothing-I stated that the hotel would organize shows for brands that range from the blondes and Rio World to the newly Gerelt Ed Hardy. I had arrived after LAFW.
Although my plan was to use my room as a “crashpad” between the many working sessions that I had planned during my entire trip, the event room on the roof of the experimental artist shows throughout the hotel. After I previously knew in W., the hotel’s global concert series, the W was able to organize a good party. But good enough to rot from the bed in my bathrobing, the second surprise of my trip was.
In the weeks after my stay, I saw more and more events in the hotel in my Instagram feed like Marta Freedman’s Air Milkshake -a curated poison suite in which influencers, artists, models and designers can book a private appointment to learn about ( And take home with them) articles from various new and aspiring brands.
“W Hollywood was the perfect room for our holiday edition of the Air Milkshake Gifting Suite. My team was really overwhelmed by the details, ”says Freedman. At this point, the participating brands Julie, the emergency contraptive; Gemini biscuits and cakes; And hard candy cosmetics. But the favorite part of the guests? “Most of our 100 participants said it was the most beautiful suite they had ever seen.”
The former Bustle writer Ivana Rihter, in collaboration with her (UN) cover girl Podcast, analyzed the celebrity profiles, also began with her (UN) cover -girl podcast with the orientation of literary salons. Together with Rihter’s co-moderator Beatrice Hazlehurst, you started a penthouse pajama party in the hotel under the covers, in which the participants discuss all the print media and pop culture.
“I have definitely found that there are many events in La that are about appearing in a fabulous look and documenting the fact that they have gone. But among the covers is an antidote – a place where humans can come about how they can speak about entertainment, celebrities and everything they are obsessed at the moment, ”says Rihter. “W Hollywood is the perfect home for us because the rooms that we feel in cozy living rooms and people feel comfortable when they leave their guard – help the PJs – or expand on the floor as if they were at stay overnight. It is easy to forget that we are in a penthouse and not with someone’s house … until you see the view. “
Between the fashion parties for those who Do I want to get dressed and seen, and the literary salons for people who are looking for deeper conversations are booked in Wollywood and are only a few floors away.
