A consultation phase for proposed additional protective measures to maintain the “architectural beauty” of a village of Cotswold has opened.
In the future, Changes to the properties in the Schneeschill The building permit may be necessary according to the permissible development rules such as roof changes and double glazing improvements.
It is to be hoped that this would “prevent the erosion of the aesthetic qualities of snowshoe as a historically significant place”.
The Tewkesbury district council opened the consultation phase on January 27th, and the residents have until March 10 to communicate.
The proposed changes referred to as Article four are submitted in situations in which buildings are not individually listed, but together architectural, cultural or historical importance, and their identity can “be” lost “continuously permissible development” .
Mary Jordan, senior member for the planning and placed in the Tewkesbury municipal council, said: “Snowshill is a nature reserve, and 25% of his buildings are individually listed, but real estate owners can still make certain changes in the context of the permissible development.
“While new windows or a change in the front door do not appear significant, gradually and unintentional, they can significantly undermine the uniquely historical beauty of the city.
“The introduction of this direction does not mean that certain works are prohibited, but that the community would use the planning system to deliver the best for the area.”
